Opticoat Warranty

1. Opti-Coat Ceramic Coating Guarantee & Duration

Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd warrant to the owner of the nominated vehicle that the Opti-Coat will be satisfactory in its performance of protecting the vehicle from paint damage resulting from bird droppings, bat droppings and bug splatter, whilst being maintained in accordance with the terms and conditions of this warranty for the following duration.

2. General Terms and Conditions

  1. Warranty is only valid when in receipt of an official Opti-Coat Warranty Card and genuine Opti-Coat serial number, commencing from date of purchase or registration of serial number, activation code and vehicle details online.
  2. Any application, re-­application, repair work or other work carried out on the coated surface must be applied/reapplied or repaired by an authorised Opti-­Coat agent.
  3. Excludes vehicles registered either at present, or previously for commercial purposes.
  4. Opti-­Coat agents must be notified of any claim due to failure of product performance within 30 days of occurrence. Subsequent damage caused outside this period is excluded from any guarantees.
  5. Vehicle must remain continuously registered within Australia for the duration of the warranty.
  6. Warranty is transferrable upon written request, subject to inspection by an authorised dealer and administration fees.
  7. Warranty is valid for automotive two-stage clear coated body panels only. Opti-Coat is not compatible and not suitable for single stage and non clear coated finishes.
  8. Clear over base matte/satin finishes claims are limited to clause 8.2 of this agreement.

3. General Liability Limitations

Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd or its agents, will not accept liability for:

  1. Deterioration of factory paint work or repaint or any other treated part of substandard specification, materials or workmanship by vehicle manufacturers, their dealerships, third party suppliers or modifiers, or professional valeters not authorised by Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd.
  2. Pre-­existing damage or deterioration.
  3. Any claim for matters which are covered by vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
  4. Damage caused by manual or automatic wash brushes, contaminated and/or abrasive cloths and sponges, untreated areas due to accident damage and/or their subsequent repairs, hard water spotting, rust water damage, loss of hydrophobic properties due to airborne contamination including paint overspray, damage caused by stone chips, factory or aftermarket clear coat failure, abrasion from motorcycle leathers or other such materials.
  5. Damage, either accidental or malicious, including but not limited to fire, flood, vandalism, extreme weather conditions and secondary effects that may result from the foregoing.
  6. Any consequential loss including either incidental or indirect damages to arise from any claim under this warranty.

4. Warranty Will Be Deemed Invalid If The Following Transpire

  1. Neglect to maintain the vehicle according to the standards and techniques recommended.
  2. Damage caused by abrasive compounds and polishes and third party products.
  3. Failure to repair and re-­treat surfaces subject to accident damage or requiring repair.
  4. Failure to adhere to requirements listed under the terms and conditions of this warranty.

5. Opti-Guard Guarantee & Duration

Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd warrant to the owner of the nominated vehicle that the treated surfaces will remain free of permanent stains and UV damage, except as otherwise noted for the following duration.

Opti-Guard Interior Coatings Two (2) Years
Opti-Guard Plus Interior Coatings Five (5) Years

6. General Terms & Conditions

  1. This agreement excludes vehicles used either at present, or previously for commercial purposes.
  2. Any application, re-­application, repair work or other work carried out on the coated surface must be applied/reapplied or repaired by an authorised Opti-­Guard agent.
  3. Vehicle must remain continuously registered within Australia for the duration of the warranty.

  5. Warranty is transferrable upon written request, subject to inspection by an authorised dealer and administration fees.

7. Exceptions, Limitations & Exclusions

  1. Damage prior to Opti-Guard application
  2. Damage, either accidental or malicious, including but not limited to fire, flood, vandalism, extreme weather conditions and secondary effects that may result from the foregoing
  3. Damage caused by collision or other vehicle accidents, rips, tears, shredding, alteration or modification, inks, gums, bleaches or other corrosive liquids.
  4. Damage caused by manufacturer’s defects

8. Making a Claim

In the event of a warranty claim, this warranty is subject to the following conditions at Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd option.

  1. Zen Automotive Suppliers Pty Ltd or its agents shall arrange the necessary approvals for warranty repairs and coating reapplication to be carried out, or;
  2. Refund the owner of the nominated vehicle the cost of coating application in full and final settlement of the customers claim under warranty.
  3. Claim inspections may be subject to a servicing fee of $120 plus GST. Servicing fees are refundable with a valid warranty claim.

This warranty does not exclude any consumer guarantees applicable by law. Any dispute shall be governed by the law of New South Wales Australia, and both parties irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of the state of New South Wales, Australia.

9. Vehicle Accident Damage

Contact your vehicle insurer to ensure your paint protection is included in your insurance cover package. If the vehicle sustains damage and reapplication is required, contact Zen Automotive Suppliers or your Opti-Coat agent to arrange any additional treatments.
